OEM Wheel upgrades for my 96 855 - Looking for pictures of later-model OEM wheels on 850s

First, a thanks to the community here, which has been an excellent resource for me since I picked up my 850 earlier this year. I haven't posted a lot, but I have done a lot of reading. I've spent my time on the car from purchase to now getting it to "Stage 0", now it's time for some fun upgrades. Here's the car the wheels are going on, picture it with V70 taillights and roof rack:

So I'm looking to upgrade the wheels on my '96 855. I'm pretty sure I want to use 16", but I’m considering 17” wheels as well. I do not want to use spacers or adapters, or aftermarket wheels; direct bolt-on OEM wheels are what I’m looking for. This is a low-dollar build(the car itself only cost me $350!), so the budget I’ve set for wheels is just above that at ~$400 for a set without tires. Obviously I’m shopping craigslist and the junkyard hoping to score something I like, and I’ve got plenty of time before the 15” steelies with winter tires the car came with come off for the season.

This is my “beater” car, so ride height will remain stock to maintain it’s usefulness as a wagon. I’m hoping with the right wheel I’ll be able to get at least a 215/50-16 or 215-45-17 under the car, but I know that the wheel diameter/width/offset will ultimately determine whether or not that is possible. I do prefer the look of a "meatier" tire vs a "stretched" one.

I’m hoping the community here can help me see some pictures of these wheels on an 850(preferably) or x70:

Polaris 17” (RWD – possible to fit without spacers?)
      Amaltea 17”
      Balder 17”
      Neptune 17”
      Tellus 16”
      Pleiad 16”
      Andromeda 16”
      Mercurius 16”
      Orbit 16”
      Mimas 16”
      Electra 16”
      Sirius 16”
      Ernius 16”

Through my research, these are wheels I have seen on 850s that I DO like:
      Canisto 17”
      Tethys 17”

These are wheels I've seen on 850s that I DO NOT want to use:
      Propus 17”
      Volans 17”
      Pegasus 17”
      Titan 17”
      Arrakis 17”
      Interceptor 17”
      Columba 16”
      Persus 16”
      Perfo 16”

Thank you all for your help!

Amalthea’s are a good cheap option

Tethys and Canisto’s are more expensive because everybody likes them. With your gold color I’m not too sure if silver or anthracite will look best.

As far as fitment, any fwd oem p2/p80 wheel will fit. I ran 225 45’s on my amaltheas and only got rub at full lock under hard cornering.

      I have Neptunes on my '97 854.

The center bore is larger, so if you want hub-centric, you'll need to get an adapter ring. I've never had a problem with lug-centric installations, but I also know how to install/tighten/torque down a wheel.

Yea, it's the same car. I saw it on the Craigslist find thread on VWVortex. I would have passed on it if it wasn't a 5-speed.

Nice. A lot of inquiries on that one I’m sure.

I love the Canopus. Maybe on of the coolest looking Volvo OEM wheels out there. Spent some time searching for some used ones but could never get a hold of any.

And that would have been smart because NAa is unbearably slow.

      NAm is fun

I can contribute Nebula, but these are unobatnium in 17" and you don't want 18".

      UPDATE:

I ended up scoring a set of 5 Mercurius wheels for $125, put some new tires on them, and here she is with new shoes:

Thanks again to everyone for your input and sharing photos. I'm much happier with the look of the car and the ride/handling.
