There was chatter a while ago about the program waning, but seems fine for 2020. Any rumors about next year?
2009 Hilton Stage 2 C70 M66 Passion Red/Graphite/Aluminum - Quaife LSD installed! Has anyone else noticed gear whir in 3rd and 4th? Or a "clunk" from the SPEC SMF and R clutch (or front LCA poly bushings?) at startup?
      2011 XC60 3.2L Barents Blue/Anthracite/Aluminum - rings/pistons at 35k, new engine at 50k, seems no oil loss yet at 100k.

Have you asked your dealer? Seems like he would know better than most of us here.

Does anyone know when the model year changes over? We debated doing OSD so discussed options with the dealer and they said that the latest we could order a 2020 XC60 for OSD would be the last of March and that even if we ordered now we probably wouldn't get to pick it up until late spring. Given that, I suspect that the 2021s won't be in people's hands until late summer.

New model year cars start being built in April/May time, and arrive in late summer in US.

If you want to pick up in June, better order as soon as order is open, maybe sometime in Feb.

Just ordered a 2020 V90 CC today from my local dealer for mid-July 2020 pick-up. If there is "chatter" about the program waning I would think it's because people want to keep it close "to their chest" and not let such a great deal out publicly! Current savings on a V90 CC is 10% discount from MSRP - excluding airfare/hotel/return shipping. Dealer did mention that I could end up with a 2021 at 2020 prices due to timing - have to wait and see! Either one is fine with me

what will be order windows for mid-September pick up? April-May?
Just get the answer to my question in another post:
just a reminder for those who are soon to place an OSD Order. Due to program popularity, the recommended lead-time for a Requested Vehicle Pickup Date in Gothenburg is 120 days

And you can place your order up to six (6) months ahead of your desired Pick-up date - so if you know that's what you are going to do - I would go for it sooner than later! That's what I just did!

So, when can we expect the specs. of the new model year car to come? March? I am assuming of course that there will be modifications from the previous year

March or maybe earlier. I'd check the option list link on flyvolvo.com or Volvo website every week from now. A simple link monitoring app could be helpful.

I'm completely speculating here, but there is supposedly a plan to start building the XC90 in Charleston for 2022. I'm not clear which model(s) will still be built in Sweden/Belgium at that time. That said, it looks like you can still get an XC60 today. The good guys at the right dealerships know these details as they're not that close to the vest. Unfortunately, my guy retired, so I'm on the hunt. I bought two OSD cars, one in 2000, and one in 2007. So I'm overdue.
