      New member from NC

Good afternoon everyone. Been lurking around on here for a couple of years now and finally registered. 3 years ago my daughter got her first car. She had her heart set on a Volvo. After months of searching and test driving, we (I matched dollar for dollar) purchased a 2004 S60R AWD with 143000 miles. We live in the mountains of Western NC/East TN and awd was must have for her. It has had it's issues but overall it's been a great car for her through highschool and now college.

Wow. Come on over to the R forum and stick around a while. A high school car? Nice.

I'll check that out. I told her when she's done with it, it's mine, lol. I've pushed this car as hard as I'm comfortable and it still had more to give. Just replaced the entire front 4c suspension but the reason for joining now is the srs, abs, traction, suspension warnings all showed up, put it in limp mode and no shop close with vida to diagnose. Trying to get vida setup on her old laptop so we can do it. So far with the help of some buddies we have done everything ourselves. Nearest dealer is in Bristol TN, over an hour away. I'll have to trailer it and they want $125 plus tax to hook it up to their computer.

Yeah - get that set up on the old laptop - it's immeasurable how helpful it is to see and understand what the car might be ailing from. LOTS of sensors on these.
      Manual or automatic?

It's an Automatic. Still trying to get the vida software set up. Having trouble with the second image file. But hoping to get it figured out soon. The vida dice thread has been helpful.
