      William Marks

It is with tremendous sadness that I have to type out this message. My good friend William Marks has passed away.
Billy....as his friends called him...was the OSD specialist at Walnut Creek Volvo. He was a well known OSD advocate for over 20 yrs. Those of us who helped each other with arranging OSDs will miss him and his “always willing attitude” to help out his OSD counterparts across the country.
His service will be at 10:30 on 2/11/20 at
      Fairfield Funeral Home
      1750 Pennsylvania Ave
      Fairfield Ca 94533

You can order arrangements at Rose Florist in Fairfield
707-422-7181.... or just send a card to the family. Billy
will be missed by his many Volvo owners.... those he worked
with.... and those of us who called him “FRIEND”

      RIP my OSD partner 😢

Oh my gosh. That's terrible. We just worked with William for our OSD in late fall, and I'd recently been in touch with him via email. He was absolutely the most pleasant, decent person to work with, and did everything he could to help his customers. William was truly special, and I'm so sad for his untimely passing. He will be missed by so many of us.

So sorry to hear this. He was a great resource. Many emails went back and forth between us about OSD. Class act all the way. My condolences.

I’m sad to hear this. We worked with him last year on our OSD order, and he was such a nice man.

I’m sorry for the loss of your friend.

I have known William since 2000 or so...first met him, in person, a few months ago when I visited his dealership.

Throughout the years, we maintained a professional relationship and work friendship and he was always a gentleman, always willing to help, always willing to the right thing whether it was for a customer or the Volvo brand.

He is definitely going to be missed and he left this world way too early.

      RIP, Billy.

Oh man. That's super sad. I read some much about him in the past few weeks and understand he was just a wonderful person. Wife and I were going to chat with him soon about OSD.
Hopefully he is playing with Volvos in heaven!

I am grateful for having the opportunity to get to know William. He really cared, and that made all the difference. The OSD experience is not only about the trip or the car but for us it is about the people who have made and are making this adventure possible. William was so personable and made every step of this process amazingly easy and streamlined. He cared enough to call extra times to ensure that my family of 6 was making the right decision in regards to the trip, car options, flights etc.- sharing his experiences along the way. Thank you for all your efforts on my family’s behalf! You will be missed!

RIP William. I never met William, but we did communicate by e-mail in late 2019 regarding OSD for a XC40, or XC60. Very nice and professional gentleman. My condolences to his family and friends.

William Marks will be missed! We met last September to discuss my 3rd OSD Volvo (after 1971 and 2000). He went out of his way to show me the "Glacier Silver" color on an employee's car and the "Red Oxide" leather seats. Just a few weeks ago in January he took me for a test drive in the XC40 T4 (engine recommended by my longtime independent Volvo mechanic). We were waiting for the MY2021 XC40's to be available OSD in March or April.... What a fine generous enthusiastic person! What a huge loss for the Volvo-loving community!

Condolences to all that knew him. He arranged my first Volvo OSD for me and was a pleasure to work with. Glad that I met him over the phone. Bon voyage William hope you had a chance to drink the wine.
