Mercedes recently released the M139 4-cylinder engine. This will be their new volume production, corporate motor used in various configurations and power levels in everything from sedate A and C-Classes all the way through their upper tier AMG performance vehicles.
Geely, who owns Volvo, also owns 10% of Daimler, who owns Mercedes.
I wonder how much, if any, technology share there was between the two companies. Interesting how MB was able to get an extra 100hp out of the same displacement level.
