Well...I did it. Very happy V60 owner introducing myself.

Hello everyone, I've officially joined the Volvo family. My wife has had a XC60 for about a year and that's been enough time for me to know that once the lease was up on my Alfa Giulia, it was time to get into a Volvo. I put a deposit down on a white one that was due in mid-Feb, but then this one hit the dealership and I just. couldn't. pass. it. up.

Bursting Blue T5 w/ Advanced pkg, B&W audio, and styling kit. It's a pretty sweet long-roof IMO and makes a dad-mobile just a little bit cooler.

Wanting to post pics, but without web hosting I'm a bit lost. #noob

Anyway, happy to be here, saying hello from Austin, Texas.

right now, your post count is too low to attach images. took me some time to figure it out also. tapatalk might not be a bad option for you until your post rises.

I use www.imgur.com to upload my pics and put into forums. Very easy to do and I don't think you need to create an account.

      Upload pic here https://imgur.com/upload?beta

Thanks for the tips...here it is. Forgot to mention it's a RDesign and I had them remove all badges.

Love the color! Bursting Blue is my first choice color.

Out of curiosity, did you consider the V60CC? I imagine being in Texas AWD probably isn't towards the top of the list in terms of priority.

Thanks! I briefly considered the CC, but no, AWD is not a priority for us. As for ground clearance, we have the XC60, but the chances of that seeing a dirt road are slim to none.

Welcome and congratulations. Nice color indeed.

Was the Giulia blue also? QV? Steering response must be quite different coming from the Giulia, but I'm guessing the interior of the V60 is more comfortable.

      Thank you!

My Giulia (Ti Sport) was Alfa White (non-metallic) with anthracite rims and yellow calipers, tan interior. The driving style is completely different, RWD vs FWD...torque came in at 306 =) and the paddle shifters made it super quick. Beautifully engineered and sexy AF. But you're absolutely correct, the fit/finish are sooo much better in the Volvo, not to mention the tech. Very happy to sacrifice some of the fun for comfort and tech. The dealership customer service is a big deal as well, after two years of taking my Alfa to a Fiat dealer and getting Chrysler service I was over it. No offense to any of those makes but if I spend 50k+ on a car, I expect a loaner without having to ask the GM for a 'favor'.
