      Headlight upgrade

I recently picked up a 99 V70 to add to my collection and have noticed the headlights are less than great. After some initial research, it seems the e-codes are nearly impossible to find, especially the "jewel" variant.
I believe these are the e-code jewels that are highly sought after:

I'm a little hesitant about knock-offs, but I'd be open to these if they performed well. I just don't want them to turn yellow-hazy in one season.
      Has anybody tried these? https://www.carparts.com/details/Vol...020001-HD.html
I'd love to see what they look like on the car.

These just don't do it for me (not to mention the nearly $500 price tag): https://www.ipdusa.com/products/6956...rmarket-350006

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Linked VNL lights arent for P80s. The ABM projectors ipd sells can be had for significantly less but without extensive modifications, suck.

Can get E codes that arent "jewel" type, or can get USDM jewels.

I actually have genuine e code glass for sale at the moment.

Post up a pic of your lights so we can see what youre working with to start.

I think the first set of lights you linked are for a semi, I wouldn't count on them fitting your car.

If you want jewels, DEPO makes an affordable reproduction - you can find -them on eBay. I have a set on my V70R and the light output is terrific compared to the original lights. They aren't technically e-codes but they're pretty close pattern wise. They aren't packed the best from the factory and sometimes they have QC issues but they're pretty good for what they cost.

Well....e codes and DOT jewels are pretty much exact opposites:

      Jewels

      E codes

Then thereís ecode projectors which result from tuning up the ABMs

Canít find the night shot of them at the moment

      Edit: Found it on SS

Wow thanks so much for the detailed responses. I did a buff/polish on the lenses and they're a little better but still not great.

Thanks kampman, I'll consider putting those on my wishlist for after the suspension work.
