2018 XC90 Air Suspension Failing in Cold Weather

      Hi there,

For the second winter since I got my XC90 (July 2018) I'm having issues with the air suspension. In the cold weather the rear bags just don't seem to inflate leaving the car in the entry/exit squat position. You can hear the compressor trying it's best but there is just no raising the rear end.

Recently I had this issue and after a while of the car not working I tried driving it. Because it's stuck on the lowest setting you could feel every bump in the road. It was horrendous!

I captured this video where you can hear the compressor going hell for leather, but nothing happening. I then got the attached image.

I took it to the dealer when I first had the issue a year ago and they told me nothing is wrong. I just took the car in last week and again they're telling me again nothing is wrong, even with the video and the image!?!

Has anyone else had this issue, did you find a resolution with Volvo? I've been really disappointed in the level of service from my local dealership.

      Thanks in advance.

all the air suspension problems ive seen the compressor was not working due to a blown fuse. we have to be missing something here, it was that low when you got to your dealer and they told you thats normal? when it left was it that low still?

Unfortunately the problem sorted itself out before I got it to the dealer. That's why I captured the video. But it happens each time we have a cold snap or snow storm.

I have the complete opposite in cold Weather, it just won’t go down nor do the easy exit function and I would have the car butt all the way up in the air.

Im going in next week. I’ll update you if they actually fix it.

Anytime dealer saying to me nothing is wrong when it is wrong i call volvo corp and magically dealer always calls me back with in 2 hours and magically finds the issue and fixing it. That magic only happens after i call volvo corp.
