Average fuel consumption
I have a v40 d2 my 2015.
After extensive check I noted that the average consumption you can read on the lower left of the tacho is not correct.
With the last fill I made roughly 850 km with 42 liters of diesel, or 20.2 km/lt, Well, the trip computer say 23.5 with a discrepancy of 15%...that is a lot.
By the way I can understand why the computer can miscalculate the remaining km with the fuel left, maybe it can be computed with a time base or with a space base, you can take into account the last 10, 50 or 100 km instead of the last 1,2 or 3 hours...but what bother me more is...
How the hell is possible, without doing on purpose, miscalculate an average coming dividing the km travelled by the fuel used you can measure on every single injector???
Well, now the question.
Do you know if, like what happen with Audi, you can modify an offset, a multiplier, or whatever, to adjust the computed average with the real one?
I can imagine that IF this will be possible, it will be possible with Vida Dice.
Am I right or am I wrong?
