I'm finding my V60 CC's proximity sensors to be ... well ... over sensitive. I get it that they will malfunction if covered by snow or ice. But mine seem to have trouble with salt, water, and basic road grime. A run through the car wash fixes it every time, but this is my 4th car with proximity sensors and the only one that has exhibited this kind of behavior.
Nope, mine are fine and my car gets covered in grime here in Michigan all the time. Only had it disable itself from a chunk of ice once this season so far.
Take it to the dealer. My S90 has this issue and I just assumed it was normal and didn’t do anything about it. My new S60 doesn’t do this at all, so it makes me wish I had taken my S90 to the dealer to get it fixed.
If other cars slowly moving next to you have those ultrasonic sensors, it happens more often.
