      Bluetooth for audio

Trying to get clarification on this subject. Looking at a 2013 C30 R Design. This model year should be able to stream music through the Bluetooth from your phone, is that correct?

I read somewhere that the Bluetooth in C30s started in 2012 to be able to play media instead of just phone functions

I have a 2011, and I can confirm Bluetooth is for phones only. So I added a grom unit.

I have also been in a 2013 and it has native Bluetooth media streaming.

The way to tell is to press the 'MODE' button on the stereo, and it will have an option labelled BT if it can do audio. Being a 2013, it probably will be able to.

Not sure if this is helpful, but you can also add a BT "glob" unit (power to lighter, wire to AUX, and multi-function button/light) and use it for phone and streaming/downloaded media.

MyNameIdeasWereTaken turned me on to a unit for my '08 which works fine--I only use it for podcasts and quality is good. Phone works OK, as well. Don't stream music, though, didn't find the quality up to my preference.
