Connector is under the intake pipe, on top of the transmission, towards the back. I usually take a stubby screwdriver or a really long one and stick it under the grey bit and then twist. After the grey part has popped up a bit, you should be able to fully open it by hand and slide the connector out.

Grey clip. Flips up to unlock. It’s on top of the trans, should be able to find it with a light from the top, access it with one hand and flip it with a long screwdriver with the other. Just did that exact process 2 days ago took maybe a minute to undo it.

      All,

I managed to get the clip off and reroute the OS cable back, now there is a shiny IPD downpipe installed

      Thanks all

Yeah that one is a bugger to get at. Just replaced mine again last week for the second time... OEM replacement lasted about 4 years. My arms were not happy thanks to some rough edges in that area.

You really do not want to solder O2 sensor wires. O2 sensors usually breathe (sample outside air) through the wires, any while some newer ones don't, you don't want to take that risk.

The MAIN thing though is that you always keep a wide band oxygen sensor with the connector it was manufactured with, because there is a calibration resistor that is part of the connector. This resistor is specific to each individual sensor during the manufacturing process. If you were able to re-use the old connector without issue, you either got lucky and got two sensors that were close enough to work, or your front O2 readings are skewed and you don't even realize it.

I checked my emissions monitor system and the Cat is OK with the IPD downpipe with a spacer for the lower O2 sensor.
