Did you check the codes if it was the brake pedal position sensor this time and before? Wondering what prompted the sensor change, if either it was a brake/DSTC trouble code or just the cruise control. Modules can be very interconnected so it's possible the issue could be the brake pedal position sensor or the brake light switch turning your cruise control off. I would first remove the connection and clean with an electrical cleaner to ensure it isn't just the pins/connector corroding. Then check to see if there is any looseness/weakness with the brake pedal and/or its return spring. If the spring seems fine, sometimes the pivot bushings can crack or wear out (in any vehicle). #5 in diagram https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/...=7855&ukey_driveLine=509&ukey_trimLevel=24666 https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/...R-44l-8-cylinder/Bushing/1162168/6800152.html

IPD does not make its own pedal position sensor from what I have seen. They sell aftermarket Denso or Original Volvo ones. If you buy an original one from FCP, they have a lifetime replacement warranty so you won't have to worry about it going bad: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-brake-pedal-position-sensor-genuine-volvo-31687032
