Those of you that have put some milage on your cars, how are the "chrome" faux exhaust tips holding up?
At roughly 4,000 miles both sides of mine are solid black now on the bottom aspect and it is really caked on there/difficult to get off. I don't want to use abrasives due the worry of taking off the fake chrome surface as well.
Wondering if this is normal or if my engine may be running rich. I know some buildup is always normal, mine just seems excessive
in the circled area here is what i'm talking about
Looks like there two options on the tips for finish. My are more polished aluminum then chrome. I also lime that more and it fits all the other elements
Is the tips are real chrome or what are they? Looking for products to clean it and want to understand what it is first. I did see the bar keeper option however wanted something that’s more tested/design for cars before going that path.
