Got a hair cut at a speak easy barber today ... this quarantine is ruining small business. There is less people in a barber in a month then a grocery store in a day ...
But hey at least the beer distributors are open in PA ... #coughtonyourlocalpoliticain

I just went to Publix. Came back with an assortment of perishables along with 36 cans of Corona and 4 bottles of CabSav.

Corona was on sale, what a coincidence!

I had one of those on a porch abutting a beach last summer and it was still disappointing. Trying to remember if we ventured down onto the beach before I moved on to my next beverage.....kinda thinking we did but I don't remember that improving it any.

Cans? I thought the whole point of corona was to show off that you were literally drinking piss through the clear bottle.

The local Chinese carry out guy was super unhappy because even carryout business is gone. Corona on sale. Damn.
How awful of a society have we become that these things have been boycotted because of names?

I'm not a big corona guy, but on a beach with a lime sounds mega nice right now. If it were just a little warmer, I'd drive down for the day, drink some of those from a cooler and have a picnic with food from home out and drive home later that evening.

I would imagine that anyone with half a brain knows there is no connection but then a I saw a poll a few weeks ago that had something just less than 40% thinking it was related to the beer - such is the society we live in.

I've been buying beer from local brewers lately trying to help the local guy - growlers, howlers, tallboys, etc. It's one of my big outings of the week now, lol.

Wow, crazy low miles. A few of the doors look pretty dented - would be a nice challenge for a good PDR guy to see how decent they could get them.

Oh damn. Good thing it's an auto and it's in Iowa. I'd be really bummed that I could't do it.

Didn't someone go to look at that car a couple months ago and report it was way worse than it looked?

Figured I'd update some unaffiliated purchases I've made over the last few weeks/months.

Mom's V70 needed a radiator and instead of changing it out on my cold gravel driveway, this 07 XC70 popped up locally, so I took the opportunity to surprise her with the gift of AWD now that she's full time back in PA. The V70 will get fixed and sold now that it's warming up.

This one's curious. I think it's a base (not adventure series based on the wheels) that the PO cared enough about to upgrade. It's got HU-850, a Volvo bluetooth kit and a remote starter installed cleanly. Fresh tires, brakes and timing belt, and I was happy to pay $2900 (170K).

I also sold my quickly rusting 02 Dakota and stumbled upon this 60th Anniversary Edition Wrangler (4.0L, manual, all the available options and off-road upgrades for 2001).

The week I got it, I ended up at the store at the same time as another totally stock black TJ Wrangler.

As long as the tires are worn evenly and are not too old (Check the 4 digit DOT code on the sidewall), no issues with a used tire. You can check for plugs too, but a properly plugged or patched tire can easily get you many more miles. I've had quite a few sets of used tires I've bought with wheels and have been happy.

Depending on the size and treadwear (I always check with one of the $0.99 tread death meters), I'd be happy with $300-$400 depending on size and wear for a set of barely used tires.

I have bought a few sets used as well but that was only because they were mounted on wheels that I was buying. My typical calculation for buying when mounted is that if I can justify them ascribing very little value to the purchase then whatever life I get out of them is a bonus. If you're just buying a used set of tires then they would have to be a really good deal for me to be interested, especially winter tires that tend to wear quicker. What does a set of Hakka R3's cost new? Date code check is a good idea.

+1. Date code check is critical. Also winter tires are done for with a lot more tread depth left than AS or summer tires. Know what the Nokian treadwear indicators mean and look at them!

That's correct. Mine came with those (Moab) Rubicon wheels, which I like. I actually prefer the look of the other wheels more for some reason. I needed to find a 5th Moab wheel to match mine for the spare, and the TJ Moab wheels (16" v. the newer style 17" wheels) are hard to come by. I found one for $20 an hour away and went right after work one day to get it. That said, if a set of those other Ravine wheels came up with newer tires, I'd probably switch even Steven.

Advising transparency? Lmao. Like helping to keep the secret space program quiet from the American public who have basically unknowingly funded the SSP for the last seventy years? Like that kind of transparency?

Accountability? Lmao. Those guys are actually comedians. Do they mean like holding dick Cheney accountable for haliburton and Iraq?

Oh and look, he was in Bosnia too. I wonder around what time, and if it was to help overthrow the Bosnian government when Bill Rockefeller Clinton was puppet in chief, and with help of wicked witch Madeline Albright, who said, we think it was worth it, in response to Leslie during a 20/20 interview who asked about the thousands of children who had died in that coup.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Vermont,
Really? And where is he applying all this extensive "educated" civil engineering considering that the US infrastructure is a giant pile of crumbling concrete, failing bridges, and sink hole-like pot holes?

I am more impressed by the people who run walnut farms, pear orchards, blueberry and strawberry fields, and other stuff that has actually helped people survived. You know, food and water, not war for drugs and money.
