They meant a really flexible definition of "nearly." LOL

Fully loaded with what? It has 4/4 wheels? All the seats are in it..

hehe all marketing they put in every ad to get people to look. They probably assume it has leather so itís loaded.

I'm right there with you. "Fully Loaded" is one of the most abused car lot phrases and I hate it. The only defense I can offer them is that they just have no idea and it costs them nothing to make the claim.

Gearing and only being 200 lbs heavier. Takes a lot of fuel for a smaller, booster engine to move a heavy lump of wagon and not nearly as much to use displacement to do essentially the same. Letís also clarify that TF80SC gear rations are nearly identical to T5 M56LK/D5 M66s.

I agree on dailying the 142 for awhile until things settle down and you can find the P3 or P2 that you want long term. I wouldn't jump on something cheap just to get something if things settle down in a few months and then you regret settling for the short term option.

P80 vs P2 vs P3 is a personal decision, pros and cons to each platform.

Are XC90 V8s out of the running? You get the extra size of the XC60 with all the upsides of a P2. Comparing that to my P3 S80 V8, we chose the XC90 with zero hesitation when we eliminated a V8 from the herd.

When I had my XC90 V8, I was averaging about 22.5MPG (as high as 26 on a mostly highway tank) on regular gas, so fuel economy isn't too much of a hit. Get an 08+ to avoid any valve body issues and you've got a cheap, excellent daily.

Always wanted a '90's 960 or S/V90. I looked at one back in the day that had super low miles before I went with 850 #2. Couldn't get past the eggplant color though. The blue looks nice!

There's one nearby I was gonna check out, but lower price usually means higher miles (or beat up)

Also reached out on a PNW volvo group and got these two leads, both seem great for this need while being different lol

The '00 GLT seems more your style. Not a fan of the rim treatment on this one though.

I agree, and I really like the white one, but we moved back to the PNW specifically to get back into the mountains so a lowered car is way less optimal than an xc

I am being extra cautious with my money but we're in an ok place, if I find anything sub $4k and it only fills the need for the next 6-12 months before I sell it and upgrade, that's fine.

Dailying the 164 to work can happen but there's a lot that needs to be done to make it a better short/in town driver (as always)

And honestly this is stressful but it'll be a fun excuse to pick up a cheaper car that I've always wanted

You should consider this for a cheap daily.
My current 98 has been a great car, never even a hiccup in the last 15 years.
Mine is just really tired, but has new Nivomat's and struts. I like the body on this one and would swap all my suspension parts over.

Shelton is like 1.5+ hours from Seattle and just haven't brought myself to commit to another vehicle when I'm losing so much in the stock market.
Now the State of Washington has placed a Moratorium on tenant evictions. Essentially making it OK for tenants not to pay rent. Its going to be an expensive few months.

These are great work trucks tho...
