yes! it only took them twenty years to get a rail line from downtown to DIA.

hey bigger doesn't mean better. just more rubble shoved up from the crust. we have Utah, Nevada, and California to thank for that.

12v lighter didn't work due to a fuse. Easy fix and cleaned some grossness.

Monday drove in the rain for the first time and discovered the windshield has lost its seal, tentatively looking at 950-1200 for a new friggin windshield since no companies will r&r it due to breakage
Insurance may or may not help, if they do I'm sure it'll impact my policy

If these 2 things existed, what else am I going to find

I think there might be a recall of sorts on the xc60s windshields. I know Wanderwagen was posting about getting the dealership to fix.

I think his thread talks about what happened.

I've spoken with 2 dealers and they've both said a big no go.
Local window company had quoted me 500, but after realizing the camera needs calibration, it went up to 1200.

Seattle Volvo quoted me around $900 for oem glass, so, yeah, guess I'll probably do that and ask them to do a full inspection to hopefully let me know what else I need to focus on

I rarely drink and donít know much more than name brands of booze but I stoped by the liquor store the other day to get some Everclear to make some homemade hand sanitizer so I grabbed this.

Just ask IPD I always text him from the store on advice to find out if I should buy a certain beer.

We had the windshield issue as well in our '13. Got the dealer to do it N/C with a little push. Aside from that look for battery drain/ parasitic draw. You'll see that over in the XC60 forums too.

I'm not fancy; this is my go to:

I did go out to get milk today, which felt harrowing. I had a careful plan. Went to a little, local grocery store. Only one other person in it, so I decided to go in. Only took in my credit card. Left the car unlocked. Used barriers to open all doors. Barely touched the credit card reader (had to touch it just enough to push card in and take it out). Went back out to the car, placed the milk in the trunk on top of plastic bags, and wiped everything down vigorously with Clorox wipes (hands, credit card, milk). Once each gallon (2) of milk was cleaned, it got placed into a different plastic bag for the commute home. Original bag got thrown away. Cleaned my way back out of the trunk of the car. Drove home. Cleaned my way into the trunk of the car, cleaned the milks again, cleaned myself and my credit card again, then went inside. Threw all my clothes into the laundry and left the shoes outside to live for a few days. The other person in the store was in full fask mask/gloves. I think the person who drove them there was a bit older, so they were taking precautions. Gotta do what you gotta do.

I've called 3 dealers here, all won't touch with a ten foot pole.

I wanna get it done before I have to get to work, it'll be challenging to accomplish this with distance and cleanliness, but it's necessary. I'm trying to stay home

Thread for repair and hopefully a build soon as the world normalizes in the next year or two:

Wife felt bad and just bought home a bottle of Jameson for me.

Taking this pic I realized I have an unopened bottle from our trip to South Africa in Feb, once the Wisconsin house closes, that'll be a celebration

Our state-run liquor stores closed last week. On the last day, a couple hours before close, I grabbed another 1.5L of the extra aged. I also grabbed two of the last three boxes of wine for the wife (and me, who am I kidding?).

Beer is essential here, but since wine & spirits stores are state owned, they just shut them down. Some assorted stores have access to wine, but liquor is entirely controlled by the state.

VERY close. Although Ohio is apparently pulling over people who are driving and making them prove their travel is justified. That said, if I run out of the ~2L of extra aged I've got on hand, then this will have been going on for a LONG TIME. If I'm hurting that bad, I'll dig into the rest of the cabinet from back when I used to drink with some regularity.

We have state run liquor stores also (thought Utah was the only crazy state to do that). Ours are still open with a 1 in 1 out policy so no more than 10 people in the store at a time. Got the wife some Tequilla and SoCo. Im a Beer guy. When i was 15 my friend thought it would be a GREAT idea to mix a 2 liter bottle of warm Tab cola with Jack Daniels and consume it all during a hot summer 5 mile walk to a girlfriends house. Soon after we arrived, Jack and Tab were projecting from my esophagus at a violent rate. Anyhow, I'm surprised the "what have you done to your car" thread hasn't expanded more with people being locked down.

Sir, your SOE (state owned enterprise, jargon for those here not familiar with socialism) shut down the beer and wine and liquor?!?

How the heelllll havenít you moved to California 10 years ago? We have: no rust, no cousin-fvckers, no snow days, no salt on the road, no Mormons, no squirrel hunters.

Cool, haven't had that, but I believe it may taste similar to the Rogue Dead Guy whiskey, that's hiding in the background of my bottle pic.

At the same age, I had an altering experience with screwdrivers! To this day, I can't touch them. Feel it's best to keep all juice out of drinks anyway, sugar bombs.

Sh!t. Archaic-ass liquor laws people! We have beer, booze and wine at grocery stores, corner stores, and packaged goods stores. Even on Sundays. Almost time to break into the Suntory Toki at some point. The Hibiki is still for weekends. 🥃

Vodka was my first bad (underage) experience. Took years to get over that. But tequila is what always sneaks up on me. Whiskey presents no problem.

Beer is the only thing they don't have at their stores. Beer can be had at distributors, bottle shops (only recently), restaurants, gas stations, etc. It was only a recent change (a few years) where they no longer made you buy beer a case at a time.

HA! First drink in a bar (umm, we'll say I was 21...) was a screwdriver. Someone asked what I wanted to drink and it was the only thing I could think of. lol Before that I'd always just had whatever someone gave me or beer.
