Noisy blower motor - is there a fix?

Every single P2 that I've owned and been in had the dreaded noisy blower motor. When it's at low or moderate speeds there is a dreaded screech. When on high speed the noise goes away. Replacing seems to fix it for a short period of time.

Is there an improved design motor from either Volvo or aftermarket that fixes the noise or some sort of forced lubrication mod that cycles oil through it?

I put a TYC unit in mine 2 years ago. So far, so good. Slightly louder than the OEM unit at higher speeds. But, no screeching.

Iím determined to take one apart and figure out if bearing can be serviced or replaced...maybe a ceramic bearing would eliminate eventual squeaking? Robert YouTube volvo guy says they canít be taken apart easily. Iím not convinced.

I took one apart and did not see an easy way to service the bearings. Maybe you guys will be more creative or cleaver.

I think I figured out source of the noise. The bearings are not pressed into housing but rather just sit there in an opening and held in place with a clip so they have the ability to spin. I believe that is where the noise is coming from. The bearings spin along with the motor shaft and screech against the housing. I bet if one were to JB weld them to the housing the noise would stop.

Hey mines taking a dump on me too haha. I think I'll just get a replacement off fcp. Mine squeals at low speeds and at full blast it's like a plane. Think my bearings shot in it and now off balance. Mine is 201k old now fyi
