      Why OEM hitch?

I'm happy with my DrawTite. Spend money on genuine wiring harness.

My memory tells me the OEM hitch may have a higher tow rating. My memory could easily be wrong.

The Curt that etrailer sells is 350lb tongue, 3500 tow, but the DrawTite is Class III 500/5000.

Ah, ok. That appears to match the OEM hitch:

I'd go with OEM hitch, it's much more rust resistant. All those Drawtites and Curts look like crap after a few years.

No need for OEM crossbars. They're standard Thule Aeroblades that were de-branded for Volvo.
Rubber mats and cargo ;liner, go to Weathertech. They're great. I've been running mine since I got an XC 90 and they are excellent.
