I’m guessing you just put the front plate on the dash? I’d like to do the same but I also like to avoid being hassled by the man whenever possible.

Iím gonna build a bracket they comes out from the center grille opening and come up with a way to attach it there. I didnít run one on my P2 XC and never got bugged about it once. I donít drive like an ass though, so I donít know if it has to do with that.

Why not come from down below somehow? That way no air blockage. Canít remember: do p80s have tow hook where you could do a mount there?

My car got ticketed for a missing front plate while parked. Parking enforcement meeting quota.

Yeah, I wasnít clear. Lower bumper center grill area. Thereís a row of screws the hold the cover to the backbar. Itíll make sense once I make it.

A little at home spoiler mod CAD work. My idea is to make an 850R style spoiler for the wagon.

My gawd! The shade tree mechanical skill that I possess are a kernel of corn on the dinner plate of your aptitude.

Do you believe it will actually provide some down force as the original 850r did on the sedan.

Also, I'll take that exhaust jig off your hands if you're just going to scrap it

I really want an exhaust set up like yours.

Iíd like to think itíll provide some amount of extra downforce. Itíll be slightly kicked up as well. Iím not interested in going through any sort of effort to quantify it though. Iím just interested in the look.

Fixture isnít going anywhere. Iíll still want to build something for my XC and at least a few more after that. Just need to figure out how to make it cost effective.

I was going to glue it on and then mold it in, but it was recommended that maybe I make a mold of the extension piece first so someone could just glue that part on?

Im sure you dont need any more ideas for things to build but once upon a time volvo offered extra pieces for the front air dam and bumper on 00 R's that go in the corners of the bumper and had naca ducts to supply air to the brakes......I would be ecstatic to see something along those lines fabbed up

Yea like under bumper aero stuff. Not a splitter per say...I have a picture somewhere but it may be hard to find. Basically it was a pair of inserts that bridged the bumper to air dam area underneath behind the fogs. I remember them having a naca duct too but that may have been the c30 P* I was looking at the bottom of recently.

      A) I donít like the tips. They donít really ďfitĒ the car. Also, they need to be adjustable (driverís one is crooked despite my beautiful fixturing). B) sound clip will come later. Maybe later today.

      So curious to hear this.

I know you've only made this one, but any ballpark on what you'd charge for one of these?

As is, it wouldnít be cheap. I used nice brushed U-bends and I probably paid more for the valve than I needed. Once I get a minute, Iím gonna start researching more cost effective pieces.

The "stock" exhaust tip is still available from volvo, albeit an updated version from the P1 platform C70:

Volvo C70 Exhaust Tip PN 31321083

A search for a good pic turned up my own install of this tip on a S70:

      Theyre about $50 these days.

      LOL.
The factory tips are pathetically small for the exhaust opening.

Width of the current tips is good, they simply have to be more elliptical to closely mimic the opening form.
      Quad tip could be interesting.

This ^^^^. The factory tip just looks like it was washed in hot water. I might need to just make something myself, but it probably needs to be ellipsoid. The pill shape doesnít work for me.
