OSD trip delayed, got the VIN.

We were expected to fly on 4.18, pick the car on 4/20 - but with the current state of affairs in EU we decided that it will be prudent to nuke this trip ( we are both in high risk camp). Oh well, maybe later this year. Now with a VIN in our hands we are beginning the waiting period.

Oh , the car is an T8, orca style.

As far as I know the flights are suspended until further notice, I do not know how you intended to travel

OP, sorry about your OSD, but it’s great your new toy is still in production and hopefully will be on the way soon. Be well.

Yeah, we are from EU - so it was planned as extended vacations, visiting friends and family, etc. We probably shall do it later, since we can use flights in next 12 months. The fun part will be waiting.

Should I start bets on a day when University Volvo reports that car is ready for pickup ?
How about a bottle of good polish Porter (Zywiec ), to be served in/around Florida, VB - shipping a bottled beer might be an option.

      I read this:

so it's not your decision, but simply someone else's before you, decided that there are no flights between the US-EU

So you had to cancel your trip for that reason, not because you wanted to

In the EU, most airports are closed and intra-EU flights are impossible, borders are closed and no travel is possible

The borders were closed by Hungary, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Slovakia.

Austria and several other countries closed the borders partially and introduced additional border controls.

On Monday, March 16, Germany joined the group, closing the border with Austria, Denmark, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland

FYI: My comment is because of the situation in the EU, if you misunderstand it, this is your problem

Sorry about your upcoming OSD! What are you thinking on delivery to the US? 60 days from 04/20?

Congrats in advance for the fun toy.

Yeh, better stay home and avoid travel by all means. This helps everyone.

The EU just closed it’s borders so whether you fly, boat or walk....looks like OSD is on hold for a while.

Yep. We both are in risky group, so we decided to play it safe. We will have to pick the car in NC, but this can be arranged by renting a car, driving north, dropping the car, picking a new one and driving back.

I loved my V70R 6M; it was a hoot; so looking forward to be back in the family.

      Best,
