The ďstage 2Ē turbine wheel (used but perfect) was $75, the new CHRA core was $25, assembly, low speed and high speed balancing was $250, and the quality rebuild kit with stepped piston ring and steel, dual hole thrust plate form the UK was $86.
Learned something new today... low speed balancing is performed before the CHRA is assembled and high speed balancing (125K RPM) is performed after assembly.
Tony highly recommended high speed balancing as the Garret style 9 blade turbine will spun the assembly 30% faster than the stock 11 blade (or other 9 blade) wheel to create boost to redline. So, I paid him to assemble and high speed balance it, which was an unexpected cost.
Good news is itís inexpensive knowledge and now I know.
