      2007 xc90 4.4L V8 power steering reservoir filter removal

Has anyone removed the filter from one of these tanks and been able to rinse it and reinstall it
And if so, how do you do it?

Also has anyone used an inline filter as well?

I apriciate that you sent me this link but it’s not my tank or car and even though it’s informative it does not say how to remove my filter. I’ve heard guys here talk of doing so my car and want to know how on my 2007 XC90 4.4L V8 xc90
      Thanks
      Paul

Same pump, same reservoir, for all Volvo`s of this era. Filter cannot be removed, but this shows how you could clean it.

I have a 07 XC90 V8 also and cleaned my power steering fluid reservoir in the same way the YouTube video instructed. Got the Walmart brand canned brake cleaner from Walmart for under $2 and used the whole can.

The S60 has a different reservoir but this is what I did to back-flush the filter - close the cap and put a garden hose into the incoming hole - use glasses for eye protection See at 8:00 into the video https://youtu.be/_dk1-D85lF4
