Who has / uses the wind blocker?

Never had one for my C70 after 13 years of ownership.....I always had small children at home so needed the back seat, but now it is rare that there are more then 2 people in the car at once. How much of a difference does it make? And, is that difference really only noticed in highway driving? If I am mostly back roads, any point in getting eh wind blocker? Thanks!

I have had one since 2011. It definitely cuts down the wind at high speeds. My wife insists on putting it up to stop her hair flying around.

For me it's a must-have. I leave mine in pretty much all the time. As ckimpel said it definitely cuts down wind at high speeds, even if you don't put up the vertical piece - if you do, it makes a big difference. I only put up the vertical panel if my wife is riding (hair issue and for conversation) or if it's a bit chilly and want to keep the heat in the cabin. With the vertical panel up and heat cranking, I can ride top down in temps as low as 48-49 F. Note that with top down you can still access the back seats for packages etc. by unzipping the access panels.

Similar to what others have said, it makes top down driving much quieter with the windows up and the blocker up. My wife definitely appreciates it.

I bought mine more as a tonneau cover for the back seat because I wanted to put things back there and not get blown around too much, the zippers in the OEM one are handy for access as well. I have found that it's nice to have the blocker though. it can reduce the buffeting in certain wind conditions, and if it's a bit chilly I can put the windows up to keep a bit more heat in. I have found that to be very helpful on some longer drives that have lasted past sunset where I just didn't feel like stopping to put the top up.

Agree with everything above. Wife was very happy when I got the second one for hers - huge difference at highway speeds.

Have had one with each of our four C70s since the ragtop. Really can't imagine not having it. That back seat compartment would have to be VERY clean(of items) to take the C70 out on the highway without a screen.

It is VERY nice to have, and everything the respondents say is correct. But, beware of the zipper tabs on the cover for the wind blocker. These tabs are cheap rubberized plastic. If you accidentally hold onto a tab the wrong way, they can rip off. They cannot take the weight of the bag with the wind blocker in it.

I use one and love it. Makes a big wind difference and I can place items in the back seat without the fear that they will blow away.

With the back seat VERY seldom used by a person, the only hesitation was the price(two of ours were included).

Another nice thing is at night I keep it up so it acts as a headlight deflector. Sometimes the SUV’s lights are right at eye level.
I also find it keeps the heat in the cabin better when top is down on a colder day. Go for it. So worth the investment.

Yeah, I’d be patient and keep monitoring the forum - they come up for sale now and then at better prices (same for the SmartTop module).

I just sent a PM to someone near me who was selling her wind blocker last summer, after they sold their C70 and forgot they had it in the garage. I’ll put her in contact with you if she still has it.
