V60 boring black interior swapped to beautiful beechwood

It finally happened. I finally found a wrecked Volvo on car-part with the Beechwood interior. What the hell? $100 per seat? $50 per door panel?! Am I dreaming? Oh boy, freight shipping is going to suck I'm sure...only $200 for a pallet to be shipped from RI to VA? Sign me the hell up. The condition was pretty good, and honestly the way they packaged it caused some denting in the seats that doesn't seem to be coming out. I just need a good detail of the interior and it'll be good as new. All links are imgur images. Also, I'm selling the old black interior over in the classifieds if anybody is interested. This swap was relatively easy. I'd be happy to answer any questions about it!

      Boring old basic stock interior.

      Much less boring new interior!

      Another shot of the backseat!

I found $1.95 while doing this swap.

Job overall took 4 hours for removal of old interior and install of new one.

I don’t even know you, but I hate you right now. Haha.
I didn’t even own my RD yet and I started looking for beechwood.
Looks amazing, man! Screaming deal, too!

I have the beechwood interior and love it. I was not going to buy a car unless it had a funky interior color like that.
I'd love to swap the front seats for the sport ones.
Any recommendations on where to look?

car-part and getusedparts seem to be the the top aggregators which pop up on google, but I don't know much about this stuff.

It's funny, when I first looked at the interior of mine I was almost like wtf. I have grown to really like it.

Looks great! I am planning the same swap into my V60. I need to figure out the best way to work the rear heated seat configuration as the donor car does not have the same rear heated seat as in my V60CC.

What was the process to remove the rear?

The rear was easy once I figured it out. Bolsters pull out at the top and up. Then you just unbolt the seat backs and the seat belts. The 40 20 40 pieces come out separately, with the middle piece having a seat belt built in. That was the biggest pain. The bench bottom is just held in by two tabs that push in from the side to release the mounting.

I talked to the guy doing the partout on the car you're getting your interior from lol.

Sucks about the heated rear, the only thing I lost was power lumbar.

We just turned in our 2017 S60 Inscription with the Black/Beechwood interior and got a 2000 S60 Inscription Pine Grey/Maroon Brown interior. I wish the Beechwood was still an option, the Maroon Brown is close, but it is darker. Beechwood was the bomb.

Amber is very pretty, especially in S60's. But it's much more common than the rare beechwood.

My front seat swap ended up becoming an all day ordeal. I kept tripping a SRS light and it appeared that I needed to swap not only the pretensioners but also the seatbelt latch. I also swapped the occupancy sensor under the passenger seat. I tried installing and then rescanning with VIDA but kept getting the SRS code.

I haven't done the rear bench yet, I would like to retain the heated bench, so I may pull the seat skin to take a look. I also swapped over a speaker since the donor car only had the base stereo and my V60CC has the H/K setup.

That's so strange. Mine is a 2015.5 and everything was a direct swap with no issues of any kind. The only thing I kept from my car were the front seatbelts straps.

Those are the smaller bolster 2011-2013 seats for those that might want the 2014-2018 sport seats with larger side bolsters. Still a great looking set of seats.

I have the Beechwood on my Ember Black 15 (not 15.5). It's lovely but shows the wear (wrinkling). Would love to find a cleaner/conditioner that tightens it up. Leatherique works OK for that.

You can either try cleaning it or if it's worn fixing it. These guy has a lot interesting videos besides methods for differing issues.

Yes - I have all the misc. pieces. I just need to find the time to do the swap. I am also going to swap for a second set of roof rails that I have refinished gloss black. I painted the ones on my V60 on the car but the second set from the donor V60 turned out better. They are easy to swap once the headliner is out.

Pulled the rear bench out. There is a small plastic push clip that pushed inward with a flat head screwdriver to release the lower cushion. Its a PITA if you don't know to look for it but once found, its super easy.

I pulled the original V60CC skin off the seat foam and learned the seat heaters are attached to the foam and not the cover. 36 push clips hold the cover instead of hog rings.

That's great to know! So just a simple swap of the seat covers (using the old foam) and you're in business then?
