Started as an 800 dollar car from Philly at 98k miles. Was surprised at the price but the guy was looking to pay his rent and feed his kids while getting rid of an inactive car, and it was titled to his wife, so I didn't question it.
I have a ton of pics from early on but not sure where I stored them at. Looking to get a manual swap, PM me if you have one or most of one. Thanks to Scottishbrick, ZZZZZZZ, Exocet and a lot of others on here for helping along with this build over the past year or so.
Had a lot of fun with it so far though. It's been to Maine and Epcot center in Florida and back to NY. It's been a delivery car. It's hauled hundreds of pounds of mulch and etc. More reliable and useful than anything I've seen any nuclear family own tbh.
It's met some friends at Ikea
had some problems
Took me through and up into the mountains of the northeast
Found some JDM Kanjo friends
Met some SS friends
Touched the sky
Even grabbed a cousin
but otherwise it's been super fun and reliable.
So far I've put Bilstein b4 shocks/struts, Eibach lowering springs, Delrin subframe bushings, IPD sway bars.
IPD Catback, R manifold, Rolling Motors DP courtesy of Ben Mcnally.
Transmission cooler build (https://www.volvoxc.com/forums/showt...sh-From-Bottom) and Rostra long snout solenoids.
Simota CCI from ViVa, and a Snabb throttle inlet from, you guessed it, Snabb.
Right now it's looking at getting finished - rims, nokian zline tires, green injectors, k24 MAF housing, rear lower control arms from an R, do88 FMIC, R intake box in place of the Simota intake
- and currently looking for a coupler from that to the Snabb throttle inlet as opposed to the R throttle inlet which will not fit the td04.
Also is getting a dw300c fuel pump, timing belt service, serpentine belt, D5 oil cooler, and a wang. For fun I have an R wheel going in aswell.
If anyone has any tips or parts I should grab to finish her off, let me know!
Thanks for the look. Kind of condensed for a build thread but, I'll keep it updated as I finish it off in the coming few months.
