how do you remove engine cover on xc70 2012 T6

      Hi Everyone,

The manual doesn't even discuss this, and I didn't want to break any clips trying to remove it. Can someone explain/show where all the clips are?

      Reg

You just tug on it and it will pop off. It's held on by several round detentes maybe, not sure what they're technically called.

One at a time, pull straight up on each of the 4 corners of the cover. When it's off, you'll see the 4 spherical ball-posts it locks onto. When replacing the cover, I get the rear posts lined up first, then press down on all 4 corners. You also can use the oil cap cutout to get things lined up.

Thanks Guys. It was as easy as you both made it out to be. I needed to access a piece of metal as ground when I jump-start the vehicle.
