Finally found a V8 - looking for recommendations for trailer hitch

Just picked up today, traded in my 04 XC90 for an 08 V8 with 74,000m, for under $6,000. Remarkably - VIDA showed ALL systems clear, plus and the previous owner (1 owner) took nice care of the vehicle.

I installed a trailer hitch on the 04 and would like to do the same for the V8, but not finding any specific for the V8. Is there a specific hitch for the V8 models ?

      Thanks

Thanks - indeed it was, I was quite surprised. It was a trade in at a Hyndai dealer, apparently they didnt know what they had. When I tried negotiating on price they were so stiff because of the amount of calls they were getting on the car.

Congrats, what a steal! I’ll take a look at mine when I get home, but pretty sure it’s the Curt Class III hitch from etrailer.com (that’s where I got the hitch for my ‘04 back in the day). I went with the OEM wiring harness & trailer control module from FCP Euro. Same install as on the ‘04, pretty painless. No issues at all - pulled an S70 on a full U-Haul trailer (not a car dolly) for about 6 hours at highway speed through PA, MD and VA and didn’t even whimper.

EDIT: Whoops, wrong hitch. I have the Draw-Tite 75152.

I recommend a Volvo OE trailer hitch (p/n 30660693): superior construction and excellent fit (sorry, this one is sold):

Pics below of the vehicle, out with the old, in with the new(er). I swapped the running boards from the 04 to the 08. I know some are not fans of the running boards but its easier for my kids to get in (and make a mess of) the car.
