Removing a programmed module from the CEM

Hi, I have a 2004 VR and I’ve had to disconnect the “in car phone module” by removing the green plug from the rear. It was interfering with the CFE and hence advised to disconnect. I don’t use it anyway and may replace it with a cup holder.
My question: when I scan the car in VIDA it throws a CEM fault which states no communication with the PHM - obviously. Is there a way around this or does the CEM need reprogramming at the dealer to delete the PHM software?

I could be wrong. You could to order subscribe VIDA and remove it by yourself.

Install /uninstall is different software, you could get it in VIDA. (Download from Volvo server - have to pay)

Or you just ignore the message

Yep, hes right. You can do it yourself, it will cost you a 3 day subscription and probably around 30-60 bucks for the software to remove it. You'll probably have to have a Genuine Dice unit for this to work. If not, it may be cheaper at the dealer.
