      Rallying a 240

Hi all, I know this has probably been asked before, but all the threads I found seemed to be old. So...what needs to be done to a 240 to turn it into a decent rally car?

You may get better response over at turbobricks. But I would search first. Best of Luck!

      What type of Rally? Where?

Depending on the rally and class your entering there may not be much more that you can do to the car performance wise. Other than a few minor tweaks.

And there WILL be some safety things that ARE required. Check with the Club organizing and the rules for your class

Really all you need to do is

      •Sump Guard
      •LSD Rear end
      •Roll cage,
      •Timing and Navigation instruments
      •Fire Extinguisher
•Mud Flaps (so faster cars can pass you in the rain easier, Some clubs require them)

THEN, with out altering the "performance" outside of the rules,

      • installing a free flowing exhaust
      • stiffer springs (rate depending on type of rally/road surface)
      •Koni or Bilstien shocks.
•Remove any weight you don't need (Interior)
•Move anything heavy (Battery, Tools, Spares) towards the middle of the car and low down.(With no interior back seat area is good for this)

That with the LSD and you can drive fast enough to then only have your courage and skill the limitations
