I have had a number of those in both post replies and PMs since I put up a want ad here. You see them in most of the want ad threads. Appears to be a really big problem on this board.

Definitely scams. We're trying to ban them as they pop up. If you received anything like this in threads or PMs, report it to the mods by clicking the little triangle on the bottom left side of the post/PM.

Never gotten stuck and I've been in every kind of gnarly weather you can think of... mud, snow, ice, hurricanes.... this car has never not even once left me stranded or stuck anywhere. I've tried to get her stuck. You can't. Unless you bottom it out or something.

I think it is a good idea too. Just tough to change my habits after hundreds (thousands?) of these posts.

I was also thinking, it might be worth starting a thread where we document accident cars with VIN numbers (from insurance auction sites, or from seeing them in ads/in person) so that if you Google a VIN later on, it will reveal the damage.

Not sure if a "First Edition" gets you any exclusive options besides a number plate, but...

Well it's got "8 cylinders" so there's that. I guess this seller has really taken the twin charged concept to heart, lol.

That first shot is super. Really why this car is so hot. This angle is SUV sex (if there is such a thing).
The rest is: "I bought this expensive car, drove it and now I want out to get another. You clean it."
It's been used heavily in my eyes. Is that what these go for now? Wow.
These perforated seats look great new but someone better get a replacement set while still available if there are enthusiasts around for these because I see holes=easy rips and tears in another 10 years or way less.

This particular owner is active on some of the Facebook pages. He off roads it and other such things. I think he does it mostly to troll, but I certainly wouldn't buy that car.

New car dealer probably offered $20k trade in so he thought he'd throw it up on craigslist to see if anything shakes loose. It does look like it's been heavily used.

I almost bought this car 2 owners ago, I had a buddy drive it and it rode fine then, but currently runs the cheap FWD ebay coilovers. The previous owner (the guy who bought it when I didn't) worked at IPD. He sold it for like $1500 because it needed a bunch of work

It's still the same seller in Buffalo listing it; I would know, I won the eBid bid last week and he backed out with excuses about "fake bids" (after I had sent the deposit). He refunded it, but the new CL ad (it's also on FB Marketplace) pretty much confirms it was an excuse b/c he expected a higher winning bid.

I'm still trying to find my entry into Volvo-R ownership, but I don't trust this seller.. looking at a local V70R in DC-area instead. Hopefully closing on that this week.

      /Nick

      It looks well maintained.
I'd like to, but I probably have to call ahead on how their conducting business (if they're wearing masks and sanitzing) since it's in Orange county

EDIT: I quickly went through the brochure and the listing is wrong, this S80 should have the sport package since it has Zubra wheels

Agreed - for me, this serves as a 'tell' - if this is the way you treat the interior, you must treat the entirety of the car the same, so...nope! The same goes with curb-rashed wheels - HTF do some drivers manage to curb-rash all four rims??? I have had my Medusas on my S40 for 5 years after being refinished and all four remain perfect. While I am not suggesting I am the perfect driver, I can certainly park without climbing a curb lol...

Yup. All four wheels curb is a real wtf moment for me. I have an obsession about keeping my interior as clean as possible - I clean it at least twice a week, thoroughly. lol.
The driver seatís leather, although very clean, is beginning to really wear itself out, so I absolutely need to find a Light Taupe Sport seat skin sooner rather than later.
I once got really pissed off at a friend for being a careless idiot with my car one time. I lent it to him because he needed a car for the day as his was in the shop.
It was raining pretty hard, and he ran in the car with the umbrella, closed it, and tried to slide it back through the B-pillar onto the second row.
He wasnt paying attention to what he was doing, and instead of sliding it past the left of drivers seat, he skewered the bolster and made a big hole in the leather.

4C is way different from Dynamic Chassis.

4C maintains the same ride height just allows for extra stiffness in Sport and Advanced mode.
With Advanced mode changing more than just suspension stiffness.

Comfort mode is like a standard suspension S80.

Only one wheel on our two cars have curbing.

It's like quarter of inch long.
Accidentally scraped a median at like 30 mph in Washington DC thanks to a driver trying to hit us.

Its so tiny that I haven't even thought of refinishing it just because of the mark.

      They definitely want masks.

The dealer I went to didn't require them which was a change to say the least.

I'd love to go check this one out probably about three weeks ago but that 2010 spoiled me.

If you can get a S80 or any Volvo with either the Executive or Inscription Package, get it!
Man, it felt light years better than the 2008 we test drove before everything happened.

The new owner of the 2010 said it has 3 old tires from 2015 and 1 from 2019.
Something did feel off but I couldn't tell and that was it.

Funnily enough the only tire I checked on the test drive was the new one

Needs engine and trans. If you know redblocks this is the last year without piston oil squirt yes and the aw71 still has a tailshaft bushing not a bearing as updated in 93 with the full switch to 9XXís.

If that sells for ten I have a 1990 with body kit and galaxies for 20k.
