Wow, that one is right near me. Looks like it doesn't take much to total a car these days. Jump a curb and it's done, lol.

How much do you think thatíd auction for? I know this is kind of a hard question to answer based on the available picture, but what would the extent of the damage be? Blown shocks? Cracked exhaust, underbody, etc.? Seems kinda hard to believe that they just scraped the bottom a bit harder than usual and insurance said ďf-it, weíre not fixing this carĒ.

Yeah, I have no idea what it would auction for - so much depends on what's bent underneath. These '19 T6 RD's seem to be trading in the low to mid thirties presently so I don't know, $15-20k maybe?

I would imagine that the damage is worse than that one underbody picture. Insurance companies don't just total cars for no or very little reason, lol.

I would definitely dig in if I needed a car but the paddock is full at the moment and I'm hardly driving the cars I have. It's a game of the rotating battery charger - which one needs it today?

Ive been tempted to go and look at it. Guessing something serious is going on because its still posted and there is a volvo scene out here and figured someone would have snagged it already. I guess i could try to get the door cards and seats, wait i just ordered seats skins, wait im starting to confuse myself, maybe i should just go and cut the grass.

Aha - yeah, definitely is worse than that one picture - they donít list the estimated damage in the allocated space the ad has though. I once saw a really screwed up SPA XC60 (I think a big tree had fallen on it, significantly bending the A pillar) which was listed for something like $15k CAD (donít remember the exact number).
What do you think of that Ď16 P* going for $26k US? Is that an average price? Here, the only other ones Iíve seen on the market here were around $30k USD ($40-47k CAD), but were 2017 or 2018 cars.

That seems like a decent price considering - missing winglets, higher miles than normal for one of these cars, not a lot of pics so I wonder about the interior, etc.

I want that just for the safety. Went out to do some curbside/drive-up errands yesterday and the volume of asshats on the road since the beaches reopened is just mind numbing. Saw like 20 people fail to observe stop signs, double yellow lines, and stoplights....in under an hour of driving. Glad I at least have a P2 because P80 brakes suck and they also suck in a small overlap. Can't have that when I got someone coming over the double yellow at me every 10 minutes.

I was just talking about this car with my neighbor who wants to dump his Infinity M35 for a P2 T5M. We decided the unknown tune and whatever might or might not have been done to the clutch was too sketchy to meet our currently elevated threshold to justify an in-person visit. Normal times we'd just hop in the S60 and rip over there and see what's what. If it's not super fĶcuked, questionable clutch is a good excuse to do a Quaife and tune is a good excuse to do a K24 and get a Contrast or Steve tune. But higher than usual risk of death in looking at cars demands lower than usual tolerance for failure.

What are your thoughts on the price? Fair? High? What do you think youíd be able to negotiate down to if there arenít any mechanical problems with the car?
Just trying to gauge the market on these V90s because here there are really few, and the prices vary (but are mostly high), and if I were to ever add an SPA Volvo to the fleet, itíd be pretty much this spec (although would prefer a normal V90 over the CC).

      Another one..gone

If you have seen my posts I've been looking for a 08-10 S80 V8 for a while now.

A 2010 in my second favorite spec popped up less than 50 miles from me!
So I went to look at it.

      IMG_0178.jpg
      IMG_0180.jpg
      IMG_0170.jpg

      It was everything I wanted!

Had some small issues like the brakes were warped, wrong size battery and normal wear and tear. (No cracked steering wheel which usually mean garage kept!)

So I told them the issues and left with the reassurance that they gave me about those issues being fixed and I'd be kept in the loop.
      BAD IDEA.

I called the local Volvo dealer it was serviced at its whole life.
They went through recent services and the last one...alternator failed, no start, and the owner traded it in and the dealer sold it whole sale.

I was heart broken at that but whatever it is a typical issue after all. (I do remember it did have a charging error but I thought it was because of the wrong battery.)

Well to end it short, they sold the car without any notices or updates.
      Never called me or anything.
Even after the test drive I only got one email and it was the AutoCheck I requested 2 days prior.

I am pretty upset but I've been looking for a while now.
I'll find the right one at some point!

So that's my Covid-19 sob story!

That really sucks. I hate it when you leave something in good faith and then you get screwed behind your back over it. They probably found someone who knew next to nothing about the car, didnít know what issues to look for, and just bought it without doing a thorough background check.
Who knows, maybe itís for the best - you never know what underlying issues may have been lurking under the hood. Maybe sometime youíll find one!
This one I posted a while ago, by the way, keeps disappearing and reappearing on Autotrader:
      http://www.autotrader.ca/go/5-48085781

I think itís been up for more than a month in total now - maybe two; the dealer would probably be overjoyed to see someone take it off the lot and may be willing to bargain down to less than 10k.
Then again, if it hasnít sold for such a long time, who knows what could be wrong with it (but these cars sell pretty slowly here in general, so there might be nothing wrong with it at all).

      Actually it's history was excellent!
The first and only owner just didn't want to deal with the over $2,000 dealer quote :/

I do agree they sold it to a random Joe who saw V8 and went wow I like.

I like that one a lot but my heart is set on a V8 now.
That car was everything I expected and more.

If I absolutely had to get a S80 now I'd jump on that ASAP.

      OH!

I told my Indy Mechanic (ProlixArgon on here) about the S80 and asked for a quote on the alternator.
He kept toying with me by saying "T6 is better than the V8"

      I 100% agree, but I want a 2010 V8, no matter what it takes.
Only exception would be a Caspian Blue on Toscana Tan or Magic Blue on Chestnut S80 T6.

But those specs are even rarer than any 2010 S80 V8.

I like that one a lot but my heart is set on a V8 now.
That car was everything I expected and more.

If I absolutely had to get a S80 now I'd jump on that ASAP.
Aha. Yeah, pretty annoying when that happens - you see someone driving something you know the value of and theyíre just like ďyeah whatever itís ďonlyĒ a Volvo, but it has a V8!!Ē
How many miles did it have? What was the dealerís asking price?
I posted this one two or three months ago (youíve definitely seen it in your search), looks like a pretty good spec, but had an accident in 2014 according to carfax.
      https://www.carsforsale.com/vehicle/details/63096785
Does this one have any issues, or does the dealer just not answer questions? Remember someone said there was something about it that made it not worth the money.

99,790 miles and they wanted $9,995.

Yup, that one has caught my eye but combine the accident and the unusual driver seat wear and I'm meh'd out.
It's at a good price now but when you originally posted it they wanted $9,500 if I remember right.

Edit: Also the amount of shine they put into those poor seats Black seats shouldn't be shined. Matt look > Shinny. Is this a popular opinion?

I very much prefer matte leather over shiny leather any day. Here's one I found - it is a T6, but the wheels and two-tone interior caught my eye. Can't say I love the Oyster Grey paint though, and not a ton of options that I can see.

Donít mind the oyster grey, but I just donít know about that interior. I like the other color combo (toscana) a bit better, but the panel selection is ridiculous. They should have done the alternate color on the three butt panels and the three lumbar panels, and called it a day.

But those specs are even rarer than any 2010 S80 V8.

That and I prefer the power and torque curve more.

I don't hate turbos at all but I prefer the straight NA power of the V8.

Well, you know what they say - "All's fair in love, war, and used car sales", aka, first person in the door with cash takes it. I've lost so many cars because I didn't move quick enough I've lost track, lol.

Nice thing is there's that thrill of the hunt that you can continue with.

It's nice but Oyster is kinda eh, too brown for my tastes.

If I had to get a brownish P3 Volvo it would be Twilight Bronze Metallic.

I'm feeling more justified than ever in my July 4th tradition I started a few years ago of closing the windows and listening to some music not from America. Says a lot that we almost made it to 10pm EDT without anyone even mentioning it in this thread....

There are plenty of Volvos that fast. All the ones I know of are RWD.

thatís really amazing, reminds me of all the old turbobricks builds I read about as a college student.

Does even one of those 11-sec builds have factory warranty ó they serve you cappuccinos while aligning your tires ó and massaging front seats? The one I listed also has a euro5 switchable mufflers.

Anyway, this is blue, and I got my PPP lottery money so Iím thinking this is a solid buy.

I'll take a stab. I know you're looking on your phone, and that confuses me sometimes too, but I think it's black not not Magic. The badges on the back are off. That in combo with the "No rust, dings or scratches." says strong possibility of a re-paint in it's history. Nordkap's is pretty nice (though not perfect) in the photos. I would say if it has a clean history, documented service, and needs nothing (4C, PVC, etc. are all handled) then it's a good ask.

Edit: Chin hanging, missing headlight wipers.
