So I've got a '98 V70 GLT (LPT) with 230k on it. The 13G in it is pretty tired and could use a rebuild.
That said, cheap low-mile 13Ts are VERY easy to find, easy and cheap enough that it doesn't really make sense to go through the trouble of rebuilding the 13G.
Would I need a tune with a 13T swap or should I be fine since it's still relatively small compared to, say, a 16T?
I know the 13T is barely an upgrade, but I'm not looking for a huge performance gain, just an easy bolt-on swap to keep my LPT performing well. I would probably just leave the 13G straight flange bolted in place and swap over the 13T guts.
