You killed my vibe. Here's my post just in case anyone wanted it. Lol.

Title: September 2020 - Non-Affiliated Finds; Quick, You! Get that net! There's hundreds of Volvo's to catch! Grab the pretty ones!

"Not nearly as catchy as a title as last month. nnn, your mind is gifted at that time of night. Lol. Anyways, in last month's fashion, we were apparently super active, 64 pages at the time of writing this. We had an awesome run, and August took an eternity to pass, but here we are, as we dwindle to the end months of the year, Nuclear war, The Black Plague, Fires 15 miles from my town, and we'll have our Volvo's to protect us. Well, unless they're made by Geely, that won't work. I learned the S60R was released under ownership of ford, huh. That's nice. What do we take from this? We're all going back to 80's and 90's Volvo's. Does that make you happy, Jared? Lol. Anyways, welcome to the new month. Things will get better. Eventually. Enjoy this VR in my classic P2R finding fashion. It's getting really hard as a lot of ad's have fallen apart lately, but here's this.
A Black Sapphire on Nordkap VR. @ 116k (according to the ad). Asking $9,900. It's no M66, but it seems to be in nice condition otherwise. Kind of monotone, but It's a two owner car that seemed to have a lot of love. I'd take it with Atacama, but that's alright.

Let the games begin. "
Oh well, I'm happy to be here.
EDIT: For future reference, It's a 2007 V70R Black Sapphire/Nordkap at 116k miles VIN: YV1SJ527072656415

Might be remembering differently, but I think this was cheaper the other day. NEW Thule box, save yourself some cash.

Yeah, you don't want that car. The owner was all proud of the engine build until several of us pointed out that the valve cover was put together with RTV rather than the proper anaerobic sealant. Who knows how much of it leaked into the oil passages and who knows what else was done improperly. The build was completed just last year and now he's dumping it. Wonder why.

I wasn't sure if it would show since it was posted in the volvospeed FB group and not an actual marketplace ad. Probably need to be logged in to view? The post is still active for me.

Description:

Holy crap. If it was here by me, I'd drag that bad boy home for sure.
Those weeds look pretty tall...

1996 Volvo 850 · Turbo $2800 150k
doggone it. I was already to book a flight to Seattle when this shows up in my state. hood and roof would need repainting. thats probably difficult to match but hey I got low standards. sunroof looks a little jacked as well. does this look lowered?

no wipers!!! and trailer hitch, 1 1/4" receiver however but as they say beggars can't be choosers.

That back wheel is either lowered or the shocks and struts are really tired. It looks kind of how my T5 does when it's packed to the ceiling with 3-weeks' worth of interior campaign equipment, as well as a fully loaded big Thule on top.

2007 V70R, Sapphire/Atacama, 150k mi, $20k USD
Interior's pretty nice, but imo it's overpriced (thoughts on that??). Seller says he's selling the '06 at a very similar price too.

My search was almost over... almost...
EDIT: 20k? Holy sh!t, for a TF80 at those miles? Nevermind. Skywolf, I'm going to track down your old VR. Just kidding, I'd love to. But honestly, I wouldn't treat it up to your standards. Lol.

#66 ·
Yeah, that's really expensive for the miles, like 2x, lol. Seats do look nice though.

From what I've seen, people post these and they never sell. Then they become "template pricing" for the next person who has one for sale. It's like broken telephone.

Exhibit A:
http://www.autotrader.ca/go/19-11510598

This has been up since late April. One price change.

I don't know why they do it, I don't know where they get these imaginary values they try and sell them for, and I don't know why the actual ads are often condescending, written with a "holier-than-thou" attitude (the Electric ad is a happy exception, I'm talking about this Sapphire/Atacama one)

Those ads are just written for their spouses - "See honey, I've listed the car like you suggested, there's just no activity!"

Either that or it's just a fishing expedition trying to take advantage of the BaT effect. Don't really care if it sells or not.

Or a little bit of both, lol.

The other day, I was let into cross-traffic by a newer M3. When we got to the next light, the driver pulled up on my passenger side and asked if I had ever considered selling. Apparently, he "buys and sells cars" and had previously owned a 1998 or 1999 V70R in silver. When I replied that it took me 3 years to find one that was up to my standards, he said, "Oh, I guess not." It was then that I also informed him that if I was going to sell, it would probably be listed on Bring A Trailer. To be honest, I don't know "how" I would list it for sale, but it would definitely follow the "Make Me Move" model that Zillow has for homes. Somebody go set that site up, "Make Me Sell My Classic!"

"yes, observe, my vehicle is such high prestige that I don't need a simpleton to attempt to sell it, as this car has almost no significance to me, may time work its magic."

turns out he probably does need help, as his price seems a bit BaTty. but guess what ? its already discounted $15,000 from June. this covid depreciation sure is something.
patience folks!! by late January he'll be paying you to take it off his hands.
LOL. Now people of the internet, I bestow the honor of buying my car, Original price, 30k, updated price, 3 KitKats (Large), and a Latte, preferably local, the latte, that is. My offer is a spectacular deal, now buy the car and get out of my way.
As posh, stereotypical, and cheesy as that was, that's how I perceive those people. It's like, Why are you offering your car for sale? Is this so that you have more room? Even then, I'd try to sell my car even quicker so it's less of a burden. Who even knows these days.

I actually got photos of this one from a friend who works at this dealer from a month back. They couldn't list it due to the recall. FYI, best dealer I've ever worked with, even though it never ended up in a sale.
Is this the dealer that had the Electric Silver S80 T6 AWD Platnium/Sport/Inscription that sold in under 24 hours?
