      Hey All,

Sunroof headliner sagging, so I removed the shade and recovered it. Unfortunately, though, the plastic shade guides broke upon removal.

      They are $10 a piece!

Any thoughts on a way to repair these things?

Trying to think of what I could attach to the metal prongs that would substitute for the plastic clips...

What happens if I just reinstall without the guides? Some of mine are still intact, so it wouldn't be totally "guideless".

Dont reinstall it without the guides.

Just buy the new guides, clean out the sunroof track, silicone spray the track and reinstall it.

It's well worth the money, trust me. This way the sunroof shade wont open and close by itself.

Repairing the headliner is not a big deal but it is a pain. Take off the headliner, scrape off all the orange glue.

You can get new headliner on amazon, make sure it's foam backed or else you will see any imperfections underneath. Use spray adhesive meant for headliners.

Pay attention to where the factory headliner ends on the sun shade, otherwise it will get caught when you close it

Before you posted that message, I did indeed try reinstalling with broken guides...

Everything got jammed up, and the shade would not come back out. The main track clasps that move the glass were misaligned on the left and right, so even putting the sunroof in the fully closed position would not reveal the screws on the shade protector tray to remove it all (One clasp would be in the closed position, while the other side would be a few inches behind.).

FINALLY got it out, and now just going with a no-shade setup.

      Lesson learned...
