Does V90CC with Protection Package come with cloth floor mats?

Does a V90CC optioned with Protection Package Premier come with cloth floor mats in addition to the rubber mats that are part of package? Or does it only come with the rubber ones?

It would appear it only comes with rubber mats.

I thought the same as I took over the car, they had installed only the rubber mats and I was super pissed because I don't like those at all. As I was back home, I took one of the mats out for cleaning and saw that they had put those on top of the cloth floor mats!!! So Yes, they come with both types floor mats plus one license plate frame but sometimes the dealerships put their own frames on.

Never use both sets especially up front; you don't want your gas pedal getting stuck...

That is among others the reason I took the rubber mats out. On top of that, I think it gives a car a cheaper look especially when you live in Los Angeles, where it can get 120F Degrees with hardly any rain or mud. I wish they would have left them in the original bag and I would have sold them on ebay.

Yannis -- Perhaps Volvo could send a reminder to their retailers. I have found the same issue in service loaners as well.

I worked for a major OEM in their accessory development department. You wouldn't believe the time we had trying to stop people from putting both mats in. So if we sold a car with two sets of mats, then the second set other than the carpeted ones needed a big warning on the bag.

      It was frustrating.

Yes when I was actually signing papers I insisted they inventory everything in the Protection Package Premier. Sure enough the mats were gone but the located them. The car obviously had the bumper protector mounted. They also confirm wheel locks were installed and the key was inside spare area (I double checked). What was somehow missing was the cargo mat. They noted it on paper and will ship to me.

Sadly I realized that the cargo cover was not included with this model. Disappointing but now Iím questioning if I really need it. With all the tint and angled back you canít see in without a flashlight. Then again Iíd want anything valuable not even visible with flashlight.

Not according to the salesman. If I can did something to prove otherwise I will but canít find anything online. Nothing on window sticker either.

I think the 2020 models are less well specked or itís because itís a cross country. For example the rear seats canít be dropped from the trunk area as there are no buttons. Just a blank panel.

I knew that the seat fold buttons function got tossed after 2018. Did you get the luxury package on your 2020?

yea.. I stumbled on a thread last night where it was announced that the power folding feature was removed for 2020 as a cost savings. Someone did an OSD on one and asked at the factory. It is a fairly little used feature.

Ya itís not a feature I will miss.

So upon sharing this 2020 brochure with my salesman he agreed that it should have come with my car. He stated he was confused with XC90 (seems like an excuse for not actually looking into it the first time).

In either case he has ordered me one and will ship it like the cargo mat they also couldnít find. So hopefully by the end of the week Iíll have my cargo mat and load cover.

I also was contacted by customer care and given a 30% coupon. Maybe Iíll buy a cargo net. Or use it for Polestar tune (which I wanted to get but only after feeling out cars factory power first).

Good deal with the dealer. The XC90 indeed does not come with it.

Dealers leaving out mats with the protection package is a common occurrence. Mine was delivered without them as well. It seems the detail shop removes accessories and then never puts them back.

Your 30% coupon is awesome. That puts accessories much cheaper than the internet. As a note if you didn't have that coupon - you can often find accessories cheaper on the internet. Price check the large array of Volvo parts sites. They won't take your Volvo coupon but if your coupon is small, like the normal 10% they send in the mail regularly it's better to just price shop. Just grab the part number off Volvo's accessories site and hit up Googly.

Ya just need to figure out what to use it on before 11/27/2020.

Speaking of cost cutting I noticed my car doesnít have the grocery holder in trunk like the 2017ís. Itís just a flat carpet with hydraulic lift. Nothing more. Thankfully I donít think Iíd use it anyway as I like having rubber mat in trunk. Loading leaking groceries or dirty stuff is nice when you donít have any stress about carpet.

Random question. Did you lease the 2018 or buy? Curious why you replaced only after 2 years with a 2020.

I bought my 2020 as I plan to keep it long term. That said if reliability suffers in first few years my plan could change.

Lease. Volvo offered 9-month early lease return with lease return fee waived if you leased another. With the current incentives I was able to lease a 2020 T6 with the Lux package for a total cost of the lease cheaper than my 2018 T5 by a little over $2K and only first payment due at signing. It was too good of deal to pass up considering I intended to upgrade in 2021 anyway. I figured once the economy improved I was going to probably pay dearly for the upgrade.

Nice. Ya Iíve heard of such deals. A friend of mine who was leasing an GMC Truck had deal where by trading his 2 year old truck in against a brand new one, he was able to drop his payment by like $50/month. Seems they really want to move new cars off lot. And I think the used market is hot. So easy to sell a 2 year old lease turn in.

I was able to get my V90CC for a huge discount. It had been on lot for 345 days. They have another V90CC on lot for 370 days!

Mine was only 7 days lol. But yea.. its odd. The dealer I bought mine from sells quite a few wagons versus the dealer I get service at sells 1 every 2 months if they're lucky.
