Power Fold Down Seats Do Not Work

The power fold down seats in my 2018 V90 do not work. I push the buttons in the tailgate and nothing happens. Obviously, I can fold them down manually, but it would be nice for this feature to work if I have paid for it.

Would this be a secondary battery issue or something else?

probably something else, have seen two new cars where the cable for those and the headrest fold was pinched and had to be refit. do your headrest "boppers" work through the sensus screen?

I haven't folded the rear seat in years, but try pressing and holding the seat down button for a couple of seconds, and see if that helps.

Also make sure the seat belts are not connected / fastened. I would not be surprised if there was safety feature preventing automatic fold down thinking someone was in the seat.
I though mine had stopped working only to find one of the kids connected the middle seat belt. LOL

Thank you to all that responded. The seat belts were not buckled and I was able to fold the seats down manually without a problem. Even after I put the seats back up, the auto-fold feature still does not work.

I just went back to the car and tried holding the buttons for what seemed like an eternity and wouldn't you know - it worked. My recollection is that there used to be a 1 or 2 second delay, but now it seems more like 5 - 10 seconds.

Yes. I remember holding it down for an extended period of time, so I think the 5-second hold must be normal. Again, I haven't tried it in years, so I must have forgotten. Maybe that's a safety feature. Glad you got it resolved.

I think it is a safety feature. I’ve accidentally bumped those switches when unloading bulky items. The press/hold thing seems a good idea, our dog agrees. 😎

I should have memorized the owners manual and the owners supplement for the car. More pages than a college text book!
