      Just got 2016 V60

I just bought an 2016 CPO V60 T5 Platinum and it gets delivered tomorrow
I got the CPO extended to 2026, so we should be good for awhile with repairs. This car from what I can tell has more computers than NSA and might be smarter than I am. Is there a good way to run through all the systems in the car and see what it has and what they all do?
Meanwhile my 2005 V70 is still going strong, so we are now a 2 Volvo operation.
      * The oil thing: I just read all about the class action for oil use - yikes! I am assuming the CPO will handle that. Maybe I need to make sure the local Volvo dealer changes the oil so they can't try and claim I never did.

      Congrats on the purchase!

Buy a DICE unit on Aliexpress or on eBay. Download a copy of VIDA from here (Swedespeed). You can look at all the modules in the car and perform activations, checks on all systems and troubleshoot when things aren't working (such as doing EVAP system checks or checking battery/alternator operation), and do things like putting the rear brakes into service mode so that you can change your brake pads.

That works on 2016s?? Also note CPO to 2026, I am hoping not to have to fix too many things myself. Would the same DICE unit work on the V60 and my 05 V70?

Yes, it does actually. There is a recent post on the forum for how to make VIDA work for later MY vehicles.

I have no idea. It is CPO, so I guess if it does blow up they can get me another one. Damn sure gonna pay the $$$ for dealer oil changes though, no weasel excuses like I just never added oil for the last 5 years.

I have a CPO car and have
had the dealer do my oil changes. My piston rings went I had no issues at all with them fixing it. As a side note, between the cost of the filter and the hard to find correct oil, it's cheaper for me to have the dealer change it than for me to do it myself.

I never used to let anyone touch my cars but me, but lately I have grown tired of dealing with old oil and messes. At the rate we'll drive the car it might be in there twice a year, so I figure the expense is minimal. Besides for that you get to drive interesting loaners sometimes.
